Writing Desk No. 518

I have had a number of these writing desks over the years. This is one of the most interesting. It has a completely original intact dark finish, nearly black. It feels like very early production and may have been produced in late 1901 which could explain the lack of the first known decal which has a proposed date of use as 1902-1903. It is in excellent condition as is the original iron hardware inside and out. Measures 51 3/4″ tall x 26″ wide x 11 1/4″ deep. I just took a look at the images I posted and the photography shows a silvery surface that really isn’t apparent when looking at it in person.
