Van Briggle Iris Vase
Artus Van Briggle was a successful decorator at the Roodwood Pottery in Cinncinati until his health required him to move to Colorado Springs, CO in 1899. Here he started Van Briggle Pottery and would be married to Anna Gregory whom he had met while studing in Paris a few years earlier. Artus passed in July 1904 leaving Anna to continue his legacy.
This is in what I think is considered their Mullberry Glaze in shape number 167. Perfect condition standing 13 1/4″ tall. Produced in the late teens/early 20’s.
