Russell Crook, Panther Vase

A distinctive Panther Vase by Russell Crook, a sculptor, plaster molder, and potter associated with the Boston Arts & Crafts movement. Crook exhibited extensively with the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts from 1899 to 1927, and was a member of the Wayland, Massachusetts Society from 1906 to 1912.

This example measures 4 1/2″ tall and 12″ in diameter, and remains in fine condition. Pieces of this type are unusual to find bearing Crook’s mark, making this a particularly desirable example.
