Roycroft Frame with Hand Illuminated Document

Roycroft Frame with hand illuminated document. This is an interesting piece. The frame is Roycroft and made in the manner of the Roycrofters with a visible miter on the front and a lap joint on the back. The frame is holding an illuminated document I presume was produced by a Roycrofter. It is a document that was presented to J. Irvie Hoffman upon his resignation as secretary of the Berks Street Division of the Philadelphia Young Men’s Christian Association. Measures 26 1/2″ tall x 19 1/2″ wide, inside dimensions are 19 1/2″ x 12 1/2″. The back is quite clean with the exception of a chip on the bottom right. It measure about 1″ x 1/2″, not bad when viewing the front.
