The #222 settle is one of the most desirable pieces produced by L. & J.G. Stickley. This exceptional example retains its excellent original finish and is in outstanding original condition. It has been recently upholstered in high-quality dark brown leather, complementing the warm character of the oak.
Measuring 39″ high × 76″ wide × 31″ deep, the settle is not only impressive in scale but exceptionally comfortable. It features the distinctive even-arm design associated with the #222 model.
The settle is signed with the “L&JG Stickley Handcraft” mark, dating the piece to approximately 1906–1912. Comparable #222 settles have achieved strong auction results, underscoring the desirability of this important Arts & Crafts form.
