The Grueby Faience Company, prominent during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was renowned for its distinctive Arts and Crafts pottery and tile work. Among their notable creations is the “Water Lily Frieze,” a set of three tiles, each measuring approximately 6 inches square and 1 inch thick, mounted together in an appropriate custom oak frame measuring about 12 by 25 inches. These tiles feature a water lily design in the cuenca technique, characterized by raised lines separating different glaze areas, resulting in a richly textured and detailed surface. All tiles have been inspected and appear to be in perfect condition.
