Knox sticks for Liberty

Pair of pewter candlesticks designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty of London, c.1900. Everytime pewter gets polished it loses a micron its surface. What happens is the definition of the design gets softened. These sticks are unpolished at the moment and have seen very few polishes so they retain a crisp definition of the design. They stand 8 3/4″ tall x 6″ in diameter.
