Margaret Jordan Patterson A bold painting using oil on board and measuring 9 3/8″ x 13 3/8″ (sight) 13 3/8″ x 17 3/8″ (frame) in fine condition. The frame is attributed to Newcomb-Macklin Company of Chicago, fine art framers. Patterson was born in Java the daughter of a ship captain and spent time in Spain, Italy and France before coming to America living and working primarily in the Boston area. She worked with Arthur Dow and exhibited at the 1906 Paris Salon. She died in 1950.
