Albert Lorey Groll (1866–1952) “Arizona Wonderland”

Albert Lorey Groll, 1866–1952 An American artist born in New York and studied at the Royal Academy in Munich, the Royal Academy in Antwerp, and for some time in London. In 1910, he was elected into the National Academy of Design. In 1905, Groll first moved to Arizona (from NYC where he kept a studio) where he adapted the Native American lifestyle, housing, and diet. He mostly focused on oil paintings of the Native American lands. He won several awards for his work in both Arizona and New York.
